Sigiriya

Sigiriya, often referred to as the "Lion Rock," is a UNESCO World Heritage Site & famous for its ancient rock fortress, built by King Kashyapa I in the 5th century AD,It is a rock fortress is a remarkable feat of ancient engineering and architecture with remnants of the royal palace, water gardens, and frescoes can still be seen. On top of the rock, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, including the nearby Sigiriya village, lush forests, and distant mountains.

The Galle Fort

The Galle Fort, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century & served has major trading hub and military stronghold during the colonial era. It is renowned for its well-preserved colonial architecture, featuring a blend of European and South Asian styles. Within the fort walls, one can explore narrow cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and charming courtyards.
